EMMELA 

Emmela is our small start-up which we launched in the autumn of 2021. We’re an independent brand that focuses on selling directly to the consumer via our website. You can also see us at various pop-ups and shopping fairs in and around London and Oxfordshire. Please sign up to our newsletter to hear what events we will be at in the future.

Emily works from home juggling family life and the business, managing all aspect of handling and shipping. Mel is based in Dakar, Senegal, and is involved with the sourcing of the products and the shipments back to the UK. 

We plan to have regular shipments from Dakar to UK so please do drop us a line if there are products you would like and we can order them for the next shipment. For faster delivery we can send items by air freight but this will be at an additional cost which we are happy to look into further for you.  

Also, we’re happy to talk to the Trade (hospitality, interior designers, event planners….) to work together on bespoke items. With Mel based in Dakar we can work closely with the artisans here to weave new shapes, sizes, trims, fabric designs etc 

Alternatively, we have a good network across Africa and are able to use these to seek out unique and unusual items.
